Annese is Named the 5th Fastest Growing Company in Central New York
Herkimer, N.Y., December, 2009—Annese & Associates, Inc. has been included on the CNY Business Journal’s annual “Fast Track” list as one of the fastest-growing companies in Central New York for 2009. Annese placed 5th on a list of 22 companies that generated over $10 million in revenue due to their significant growth rate of 35% since 2006. The winners were honored at a luncheon hosted by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce earlier this month.

After the Business Journal solicited nominations, accounting firm, Fust Charles Chamber LLP., reviewed each company’s past three years of financial information in order to calculate their percentage of growth. The winning companies were divided into two categories—revenue of over and under $10 million—ranked in descending order, and featured in a special insert of the Business Journal which highlighted each company’s profile and a picture of their CEO. The winners were comprised of a variety of different types of organizations from banks, to technology companies, to manufacturers; this helped to accurately portray the diversity of today’s economy.

“These companies are the collective engine that’s pulling the area’s economy,” said CNY Business Journal publisher, Norman Poltenson. “Despite the unfriendly business climate in New York State and difficult economy overall, these aggressive companies continue to invest and expand. These are the businesses generating the revenue and jobs in our local economy. They serve as positive corporate models for the rest of us. These are the companies to watch and the firms with which to do business.”

Annese has doubled in size within the last three years and recently constructed a larger office in Clifton Park to accommodate their growing number of employees. The company now has 9 offices located across New York State and feels well positioned to continue this growth and scalability into the coming years.“In the current economy, growth is almost unheard of,” said Ray Apy, President and CEO of Annese & Associates, Inc. “We had to approach it very cautiously, watching our revenue forecast and our bottom line every step of the way to be sure we didn’t get ahead of ourselves. That attention to financial detail has brought us through ‘to the other side’ successfully.”
