Annese & Associates, Inc. Receives Award for Economic Champion of the Year

Herkimer, N.Y., November 16, 2009— Annese & Associates, Inc. has been recognized by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce as an Economic Champion of Central New York at its annual celebratory luncheon at the Nicholas J. Pirro OnCenter on October 21st. The luncheon was a way to acknowledge companies that have contributed to the economic growth of Central New York within the past year.

Annese was one of the companies recognized for their economic achievements throughout the past year, and met the criteria outlined by the Chamber, which included, adding new employees, unusual capital expenditures because of increased business, facility expansion, and/or receiving a state or national award. Specifically, Annese was recognized for being chosen as the 2nd Best Company to Work For in New York State for 2008, in addition to doubling in employee size within the past three years, and most recently building a larger office facility in Clifton Park to accommodate their growing staff.

President and CEO of Annese & Associates, Ray Apy, comments on this worthy recognition: “It is a great honor to be recognized as an economic champion. We work so hard to build our business and provide more and more jobs. I’m really proud to be a part of it—it validates why we get up and go to work with a good attitude every day!”

Doug Logan, general manager of Time Warner Sports 26, was the Master of Ceremonies at this year’s luncheon, which honored Mayor Matthew Driscoll, and former deputy county executive Ed Kochian. Each chosen company received a certificate and was featured on the Chamber of Commerce website.
